Department of Business Administration

The programme offers courses leading to the award of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Public Administratin and Industrial Relations and Personnel Management, which may be awarded with honours or a third class Degree. The courses are designed to give students a clear understanding of basic and advanced concepts in business administration, public administration and industrial relations and personnel management, an exposure to the practices of the field during the internship period and methodology with their applications in the analyses and understanding of the contemporary world of work.

1. General (i) UTME (a) Candidates must have obtained Five (5) Credit passes at not more than two sitting in five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics and Economics at SSCE, NECO and GCE Ordinary Level. (b) Candidates are expected to take English Language, Economics and two (2) other subjects at the UTME. (ii) Direct Entry----In addition to the ordinary level requirements above, candidates for admission should possess Ordinary National Diploma from a recognised tertiary institution, with a minimum of 2nd Class Lower Division in relevant programmes. (iii) Programme Duration---The programme offers a four (4) year study for candidates admitted through the UTME and a three (3) year study for candidates admitted through Direct Entry leading to the award of a degree of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. Hons.) in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management.
