MTU Prays in January 2022: High Praises to God

The University monthly prayer programme tagged MTU Prays is a time   when all the students and staff in the   University come together to pray. It usually holds   on the first Thursday of every month. The first   MTU Prays of the year, 2022 took place on the 6th   of January, 2022 and was a very unique one. The   edition took a new dimension as it was declared a   praise service by the school management.  

The atmosphere was that of intense melodious   praise and worship to the Almighty God who   spared the lives of both staff and students of the   university to witness a new year. It was also an opportunity to thank God for his numerous blessings   in all ramifications. The powerful praise and worship sessions were led by students, staff and the invited   music guest artist, Bro Stephen Akinyemi and his   praise team. The attendees could not curtail their joy as they sang and danced joyfully to the Lord in hymns,   praises and worship songs.

The management staff and   other staff were not left out in the terrific praise; they   also danced joyfully with students.  The quality 90 minutes of absolute praise and worship was followed by prophetic declarations for the new   year by the Chaplain, Pastor Olumide Adesina, Assistant Chaplain, Pastor Obafemi Young and the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Elijah Ayolabi. Everyone left the hall in high spirit, highly blessed. What a beautiful way to start the new year.
