Mountain Top University Wins Big !!! ...as She Ranks 1st Position in various categories at the 2021 Nigerian University System (NUS) Rankings

M ountain Top University has proved that age (young or old) cannot stop the achievement of   great feats in life, if one is dedicated and focused. The six year old university beat many other   older universities to clinch the much coveted first position in various categories in the first ever   Nigerian University System (NUS) Rankings conducted by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

 The recent release by the National Universities Commission (NUC) is based on 100% regulator and peer￾validated data, and powered by the League of Directors of Academic Planning. The report was predicated up￾on Eight (8) stages of methodology and Twelve (12) indicators agreed by National Consensus of the League   of Directors of Academic Planning and Vice-Chancellors.  By a release dated 11th December, 2021 and duly signed by the NUC’s Executive Secretary, Prof. Abubakar   Adamu Rasheed, the news of the remarkable achievements of the Mountain Top University in the 2021 Nigerian University System (NUS) Rankings was conveyed.  

The feats, according to the 2021 Nigerian University System (NUS) Rankings, are as follows:

 1. Ranking by Percentage of Full Accreditation – All Universities 1st Position  

2. Ranking by Percentage of Full Accreditation – Private Universities 1st Position

3. Ranking by Percentage of Full Accreditation – Private Universities in South West   Geopolitical Zone 1st Position  

4. Ranking by Google Scholar Presence – All Universities 1st Position  

5. Ranking by Google Scholar Presence – Private Universities 1st Position  

6. Ranking by Google Scholar Presence – Private Universities in South West    Geopolitical Zone 1st Position

 7. Overall Ranking – All Universities 11th Position

 8. Overall Ranking – Private Universities 6th Position

 9. Overall Ranking – Private Universities in South West Geopolitical Zone 5th Position
